Rex has only
recently become a full-time artist. For 34 years
he was an educator in the Ventura Unified School
District. His whimsical and lyrical style evolved
primarily from the use of blind continuous line
drawings. Artwork begins on location, then is
modified and adjusted in his studio before he
begins painting. He maintains a strong compositional
focus in all of his artwork, frequently moving
in the direction of abstract realism. The variety
of his work can be seen at the new Remax Building
in Ventura.
