Christine Beirne spent many years in Canada canoeing and camping. “There is nothing better than sitting by a lake and listening to the loons. II’ve recently realized I paint landscapes to communicate the blissful silence I experienced in Ontario and Quebec..”
She has recently been painting all her work with a palette knife. Says Beirne, “I love the action, texture and coverage that a palette knife provides.” Beirne chuckled, ” They also are a lot easier to clean.”
She recently completed painting a painting a day for 90 days — stop by her studio to see them! Beirne studied at California State University Channel Islands and has exhibited in California and Southwestern United States. She was Executive Director for the Buenaventura Art Association and a public arts commissioner for the City of Ojai.

Do you remember that old childhood game? I truly used to laugh hysterically after that went around a few times...why? I have no idea. I can't help but have that game run through my head as The EGG arrived at my home the other day. This egg is 5' tall and 5' wide at...
