
Beginning her art career as a painter, Gail subsequently received a MFA in printmaking. She then trained as a papermaker and bookbinder combining these skills in collage and books. Later, she also studied ceramics and served as an apprentice at the Moravian Tileworks in Pennsylvania which let her to outdoor mosaic wall pieces. Her work was featured in the book, Mosaic Art Today.
Her works are in many public and private collections in New England, Hawaii and California and is in several books. She is the author of Crafting with Handmade Paper and has taught at colleges and museums in Massachusets, Hawaii and California. She is a member of the Society of Mosaic Artists.
Today, Gail uses only recylced materials in her mosaic work.
