The Ojai Studio Artists organization is awarding $10,000 for art scholarships in 2022 to qualified juniors/seniors in high school and college students who are residents of the Ojai Valley and are pursuing a career in the visual arts at a high school (public or private) or college. We encourage applicant diversity, students from underrepresented backgrounds (indigenous and people of color) are urged to apply. Applicants are eligible to receive one scholarship award per year with a maximum of four scholarships total while continuing art studies.

This is a wonderful opportunity for art students to receive financial aid, gain portfolio-building experience, augment resumes, and connect with OSA’s community of artists. Professional artists from OSA will jury the digital entries, awarding scholarships based on merit. Selected works of the award recipients will be exhibited at the Ojai Valley Museum May 28-June 26, 2022. A presentation of awards and opening reception will take place at the Museum on Saturday, May 28 from 2:00-4:00 PM, at 130 W Ojai Avenue.

Student work is evaluated from digital images of artwork, artist statements and teacher recommendations. OSA honors it’s exceptional artist members with the following named scholarships: Vivika and Otto Heino , Beatrice Wood, Horace Bristol, Marta Nelson Founder Award and Gayel Childress.
