Ray Harding: Portrait of Fellow Ojai Studio Artist

I always wanted to do a portrait of someone in a straw hat with the sun shinning through onto their face.  Along came fellow artist Richard Franklin in Libby Park one day and I decided to accept the challenge, beard and all. I paint and draw complex images using photographs as a reference only.  My completed large scale works are mixed media (acrylic and ink) completed on canvas or heavy water color paper (all archival in construction). Remember the Ojai Studio Artist Tour is coming this weekend (and Monday) Oct 8 - 10 (over 70 fine artists to visit).
