Leslie Clark: Travel painting

I paint every day when I travel--usually terrible paintings in watercolor, but I love doing it and the quick sketches done in a few minutes help me remember everything about an image--far more than a photograph. This sketch is of an Algerian woman who ran the camp where we stayed while exploring the rock art of the Tadrart Rouge and the Tassili n'Ajjer.
