This 99-day journey has been inspirational, humbling, and unforgettable. Traveling thousands of miles—often north of the 60th parallel—I immersed myself in landscapes that continue to shape both my art and my spirit.
Along the way, I had the honor of being interviewed twice: first for an on-camera feature (https://youtu.be/3HxCcfu4-5E), and later for a podcast/radio conversation (https://www.cbc.ca/listen/live-radio/1-195-trails-end/clip/16170073-american-artist-drawing-north).
These opportunities allowed me to share not just my work, but also the deeper reflections sparked by life on the road.
Throughout the trip, I committed to creating at least one grayscale drawing each day. These “morning practices” became a grounding ritual, helping me capture fleeting moments and subtle moods. Many of these original drawings, along with new paintings inspired by my travels, will be available in my studio during the Ojai Studio Artists Tour.
I hope you’ll come by, see the work in person, and share in my love of the wild beauty found north of 60.
