Dorte Bistrup: Rough Luxe Art

Lately I have been making little books and boxes that hold the books. This recycled box is adorned with a “collage” of rusty materials found on my daily walks around Ojai and elsewhere.  The box is charred and battered, but still worthy of gold and jewels.  Please visit my studio to see more of this “rough luxe” art.  Then you will also see my latest pixie art doll with rusty wings and wearing pants by Dries van Noten.
