Duane Dammeyer's Interesting Summer

It was an interesting and productive summer. All four of my entries were accepted into the professional arts competition at the Ventura County Fair. I was awarded a first place for indoor sculpture, a first place for mixed media sculpture (photo below) and a second place for outdoor sculpture.
I traveled back to my roots in Ohio for a high school reunion (38 in my graduating class). My luggage had an even better vacation. It traveled to West Palm Beach.
I completed a number of new sculptures of differing styles and using different stones. Below are a couple of my newest works.
There is a spiritual & visceral & magical quality to Duane’s sculptures, & I cannot help but fall instantly in love with every one of his masterpieces. My poor husband!!
