Leslie Clark: Home on the ranch

I've been traveling and painting for forty five years. During all that time I focused mostly on the far away and exotic, but scattered through those years I drew on my ranch home for inspiration. Cowboys on the fence or their horse, the cows waiting for their food, all surrounded by the amazing wildflowers of California. This has been a very long and strange season for them. We had little rain but the flowers have been abundant and are still going strong into June when things get dry and brown.
