Lindsay Thomson: Star Trails Over the Gallery

The skies above the Topa Topas are fairly dark. Dark enough to view many of the stars in the night sky. Over 300 images were stacked to create this star trail image.

The Beatrice Wood Gallery serves as a perfect foreground for star trails above the East End/Upper Ojai. As the Earth rotates, it seems like the stars rotate around the North Star, Polaris right above Chief Peak and directly above the gallery.
