Lisa Skyheart Marshall: Illustrating Springtime

I've been making new paintings, and it feels like I'm illustrating Springtime!

One of these was inspired by the western bluebird couple who are nesting in our nesting box in the back garden. We have a very bird-y backyard.

Here you can see two parts of my process: the inking and the painting in of the background which are the last parts of making the artwork.

I've just completed the one with the white rose, and today I will start something new, inspired by the Springtime happening all around me.
