Lucinda Yates: The Birthday Gift

He lives high up on the foothills of the Las Padres National Forest overlooking a valley and small town. The backs of red tail hawks fly below the elevation from his kitchen. He has the ultimate Birds Eye view.

For his birthday his wife and two adult children family planned an eventful day for him.

I was part of the fun. My job was to spend 12 minutes with each of them to complete a family series of portraits.

I set up my station and Robin after some goofing off eventually settled down mostly because I insisted. Here’s the thing about him, He is extremely curious about how people have similar interests towards a larger goal but have completely different perspectives.

He is called to bring them together, and get every player to the goal line, thus serving a purpose for the greater good. In other words, no player left behind. He does serious work yet he he says he goofs off 70% of the time. I wonder is #followthefun part of the road to success!

I had fun and the family portraits were a hit.
