In-glaze lustre glazes seldom hold a consistent look. So many variables, different times of day, bright or overcast, and all the surrounding colours, some absorbed, some reflected away.
Taking a good photograph of a lustred piece is difficult as they can be a mirror. Curves reflect wonky shapes, the camera, the photographer, the colours of clothes and what-ever surface it is sitting on.
I was given the suggestion of playing with Sacred Heart image. . . and wanted to play with reflection also. The kiln gave me great red heart reflections . . . but the curves make the flames harder to see in this angle,.... such are the reflective challenges.
