Mariana Peirano: New explorations and the start of a new series.

After a dreadful block, I've been exploring new techniques and materials just to get back into it. To get out of my head, I began a few "a la prima" portraits. I also started working on paper rather than canvas, and I added charcoal to the oils. Once I got all this out of my system, I was able to focus on a new series which is only in the developing stages. All this in preparation for an upcoming solo show.
