Just finished this painting of "Skywoman" inspired by the book Braiding Sweetgrass and based on the Iriquois legend of the creation of the world. This book has influenced most of my current work and I am now exploring different media and styles but mainly having fun! One of these explorations took me back to working with pastels and actually joining the Pastel Society of the Gold Coast. Now as a member I will be part of their annual show coming up in October.
