Growing up I was fortunate to spend time in the lake and farm communities of central New York. I believe this is where my love of leaves, flowers, birds and all the beautiful forms of nature originated. My work is a about the common thread of dependence and interconnect we share with our environment. It is also a reflection of this beauty and timelessness of nature. I consider the work an exploration and celebration of nature imagery, form and color. Raised in a large family by an artist mother who thinks like an engineer and an engineer who thinks like an artist, combining technology and art comes naturally to me. My work originates with drawings, pastels, paintings, and fabric collage which I often digitally edit and combine. I print on fabric and then collage again with fabric, often embellishing the surface with embroidery and beading.
