Emily Thomas MaHarry: summer residency

Last summer I was offered an artist in residency at a working gallery in Portland, Maine. I was offered the residency again this summer, so I packed up the dogs headed out!

I completely dedicated my focus to painting, and time with my family, who live in Portland.

My recent paintings have started getting a little brighter, a little looser and more abstract and I'm interested in how I am continuing that experimentation with totally different landscapes surrounding me in here in Maine.

I will be back home in Ojai in the fall, ready for the OSA tour. Come visit!
