“My work is about playing with space – a balancing act of ideas, imagery, excitement, plans and mistakes, control vs. spontaneity, with gravity ever present. My goal is to make sculptures and paintings that are exhilarating. Immediacy, color, and transparency are important elements in my work as is scale.
I like to physically walk into my sculptures and visually enter my paintings. It's important to me to make large site-specific sculptures. My studio-work is also person-size paintings and sculpture, smaller 3D constructions, watercolors, studies and maquettes.”
