Valerie Freeman Sculpture Workshop at Beatrice Wood Center for the Arts

"Unfolding the Figure” Ceramic workshop, June 29 from 10am-4pm

Valerie Freeman’s figurative sculptures, known for their flowing contraposto gestures will be taught in a step-by-step manner. Participants will review a basic understanding of human anatomy, working with a live model through quick-sketching on paper and clay maquettes. Students will learn how to abstractly compose, design and engineer the human form while experimenting with ceramic clay textured slabs.
