The Meaning of HOLOS: Translating the Geometry of Wholeness

Oct 8, 2026

As we prepare to open our studio doors for the annual Ojai Studio Tour this coming Saturday, Sunday, and Monday (October 10–12), I find myself reflecting on the deep relationship between form, creative expression, and inner peace. My artwork includes sculptures in stone, cast glass, and metal, wall art metal prints and embossed paper, and HOLOS Amulets as wearable art. Some materials are no longer available, so the remaining inventory is on SALE.

My signature design, HOLOS taken from the ancient Greek word for whole and complete—carries a gentle but profound reminder: our True Nature does not require patching, searching, or looking outward for fulfillment. We are already inherently complete. The physical process of translating this meditative vision into three-dimensional sculptures and wearable amulets has been a beautiful exploration of how that wholeness expresses itself across different mediums.

Each HOLOS serves as an intentional anchor for the mantra: Thoughts Make Manifest.
I invite you to step into the workspace this weekend, hold these individual pieces in your hands, and feel the unique weight, texture, and care behind their creation.

Visit my Studio This Weekend: Saturday, Sunday, and Monday | October 10–12 | 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM daily
Follow the Orange sign to Berman Studio, Ojai, CA

If you are exploring the tour, make sure to also stop by the Ojai Studio Artists group exhibition, "As We See It," currently running at the Ojai Valley Museum through the end of the tour. Tickets can be purchased at the museum or online at https://www.ojaistudioartists.org/
