I have been painting on metal panels with a solution that makes them rust instantly. When I paint flowers at their peak--it creates an interesting juxtaposition of the perfect bloom and the rust which is the deteriorating panel speaking to the ultimate deterioration of the bloom. When I'm painting cowboys-the rust becomes the dust.
