Growing up in the Upper Ojai I was always mesmerized by the Topa Topa Bluffs The Bluffs are a magnificent sculpture created by nature . The ever changing light creating shadows and reveling it details and colors .
As a boy growing up, my family home sat at the base of the bluffs in Bear Canyon. We had no neighbors between us and the Los Padres Forrest. My brother and myself would often hike up to and on top of the Bluffs from our home .
Now as a artist I continue to explore the Bluffs in its many designs ,colors . Its bold shapes creating ever changing shadows leads me to designs that can be translated into Art . This exploration can lead to dramatic shapes and designs and playing with the dynamics of color . I don't know where this exploration my lead me but I am enjoying the Journey.
