Books, bottles and bolls
I’m being silly of course…because I love an alliteration. I’m not growing cotton…flip the “b” and you’ll get the word for what you can see in my studio in addition to my art books and latest adventure into soldering onto old bottles. I’m having so much fun soldering! Thank you to Susan Stinsmuelen-Amend for teaching me my latest craze. Please visit me in my studio on July 11, OSA’s final second Saturday tour of the year.
It’s an Obsession
I love books! I love to make books, alter books, read books, and display books. Bookstores, libraries and neighborhood little libraries pulled me to them like a magnet. Displayed here are two of my older art books and two that I am currently working on. The new ones have pages that are torn, collaged with antique papers and images, and stamped and painted. Each page is a piece of art that is different from the next.
And what am I reading right now? “On Tyranny” by Timothy Snyder.
