My artistic identity is rooted in a childhood spent in New Orleans, a city shaped by its spiritual energy, layered history, and fluid boundaries. With a background in filmmaking, having earned my BFA from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, I have long been drawn to the visual drama of cinema. After years working as a screenwriter and director, exhibiting projects in New York, San Francisco, Chicago, and the LACMA in Los Angeles, I turned my focus from the digital realm of filmmaking toward the tactile world of fine art.

My work inhabits liminal spaces: the worlds between worlds, the threshold where the known meets the unknown, and the subtle shift when the natural world touches the spiritual. Translating the dramatic light and composition of cinema into the raw, tactile depth of charcoal, I aim to capture the intricate architecture of the organic world, from the structure of trees, to the delicate decay of flora, to the deep folds within a human face.

Rendering with meticulous, photorealistic precision, I am driven to transform the fleeting energy of a moment into a permanent visual reality. In doing so, my works serve as quiet portals for reflection, capturing the poetry of our existence in the space between reality and recollection.
