Apply for OSA Scholarship 2026

This year the Ojai Studio Artists (OSA) is awarding $10,000 in scholarships to Nordhoff High School students (juniors and seniors) enrolled in visual art classes. Scholarship Committee members jury student artwork based on originality, skill, statement and presentation through online applications. The Committee reviews written statements and images and selects students who continue to the second phase of jurying. In-person interviews are scheduled and each student will present their work to the Committee.

Please submit four of your current best works; show work in the media of your choice that best represents your ideas. Good photography (presentation) is important! Feature the work (nothing extraneous) and consider focus, color, contrast, lighting, etc.). For instance, shoot the work with a white (neutral) background, centered, not distorted, and level in the photo.

The 2026 program will culminate with a reception and exhibition of student work at the Ojai Valley Museum, May 21-June 7.

Artist Statement: one or two paragraphs stating your particular interests including personal experience, inspiration, ideas and materials as they pertain to your artistic practice. You may also comment here about particular meaning in submitted slides.

If you were to receive a scholarship award from OSA, what would you do with the money? Sign up for a special summer art program, travel to visit museums and galleries, buy art supplies? We’re hoping the award can help make something new possible for you
