Exhibit at 10 West Gallery in Santa Barbara Dec 11 - Feb 9

As I prepare to deliver a new body of work to 10 West Gallery in Santa Barbara, I’m struck by the sheer volume and momentum of what emerged in my studio. They began as vivid renderings drawn from photographs of my late summer trip to Alaska, bright colors, crisp lines, and clear impressions of what I saw and felt. But as the weeks passed, the images shifted. The representational gave way to abstraction, and the work became less about place and more about memory. The final pieces in the series reach toward something more elusive: the sensation of holding onto a moment as it begins to fade. Edges blur, forms interrupt themselves, and the once-sharp landscape dissolves into the softer terrain of recollection.
