I was recently juried into the exhibition, "Fashionistas 2025" at the Orange County Center for the Arts in Santa Ana, CA. If that wasn't good news enough, the woman who juried me into the exhibition was Manon Thibodot, Curatorial Projects Officer, Centre Pompidou, Paris. I was wowed to also learn that my artwork was one of 66 out of about 400 that made it into the show! It is such an honor for me to have my work chosen by one of the leading curators in the art world!
The OCCCA is a wonderful gallery that is large and can hold quite a great deal of art and there are a number of interesting installations included, as well as photography, paintings and mixed media pieces, all with a very contemporary feeling. My piece is a Monotype of a girl wearing red sunglasses, and needless to say, I am honored to have my work included in this really fun exhibition. The show will be on until March 22nd with a second reception on March 1st from 6pm-10pm. Let me know if you happen to make it down there!
