During our recent visit to Port Townsend, I was struck by the sheer abundance and beauty of the rhododendrons—lush, vibrant, and practically glowing against the soft gray skies. There was something about the way they lit up the landscape that stayed with me.
Back in the studio, that inspiration took root. I've been working on a new series of pieces sparked by those blooms amd the Tulip Festival in Mt. Vernon, translating their color and energy into layered compositions that capture both memory and moment.
These new works will be featured in my studio during July’s Second Saturday Open Studio. I hope you’ll stop by and see where the flowers led me.
