I am excited to participate in three wonderful exhibitions starting this month. First, is the OSA exhibition at the Beatrice Wood Center for the Arts where I am showing my new piece, "Gianni Versace." It depicts, in my own way, the sad downfall of this great fashion designer who was gunned down in front of his own villa. Our show will be up through March 17th. Secondly, I am also participating in the Santa Barbara Printmakers show taking place now at the Artchitectural Foundation in Santa Barbara. All who are participating have made a piece that is on a sheet of 10" x 10" paper. The results were quite wonderful as there is a lot of fantastic work in this show which will be up through March 14th. And last, but not least, I have a mini show of eight pieces at the Integrity Wealth Advisors office at 205 S. Signal in Ojai. Our reception is coming up on February 6th from 4:30-6:30pm. They always put on a nice reception. I will be showing also with OSA artists Christine Beirne and Mark Thompson. I hope to see you there!

Wow - this a work in progress, and I mean "progress". I loved the painting by Karen K Lewis of these gourds and pumpkins. I asked for her permission to recreate it in mosaics and she agreed. I am in the process of using this beautiful mottled glass to create the bumpy spotted gourds and pumpkins. I am really enjoying this piece, and it is the largest one I've ever done!

Alaskan Reflections #1 I’m currently showing new work at 10 West Gallery in Santa Barbara , featuring paintings inspired by a recent journey to Alaska. These landscapes began as clear, almost literal renderings of place, but over the past five months they have shifted - much like memory itself. What remains are impressions and emotional echoes, shaped by time, reflection, and feeling rather than precise geography. I’m honored to be exhibiting alongside fellow Ojai Studio Artists , Duane Dammeyer  and Stephanie Hubbard , whose work adds a rich and thoughtful dialogue to the show. The gallery will host a reception First Thursday Artwalk February 5th from 5–8 pm , and I would love to see you there.

I spent several days in beautiful Big Sur coastline last week. The weather conditions were just right for a couple of days to photograph landscapes and the night sky. Here is one frame of a sunset timelapse. The sun had already set and what remained of the light was gorgeous sunset colors reflected off the marine layer and water. If you look closely, at the big rock in the ocean, you can see an arch! This small thumbnail image does not do the colors justice. Come by my studio on Second Saturday, May 9 and see the image printed in all its colorful sunset glory. Or you can make an appointment and I'll be sure to print an image for you to see.
