This is a gathering of friends of mine from our time in the Philippines before and during the Second World War.
We call ourselves the STIC Belles, as we were all interned together in Japanese concentration camps during the war.
STIC stands for Santo Tomas Internment Camp, which was on the grounds of Santo Tomas University near Manila.
First incarcerated in early 1942, we were liberated by the 1st Cavalry Division in early February 1945.
